A Guy’s Guide To Golfing Swings And Ways To Get Better
Posted by under: Golf .
People like being flashy and for a golfer, that means having a powerful swing. If you’ve got a powerful swing, it means that on longer holes you’ll be able to get to the green faster than the other guy and in less strokes – maybe even get a hole in one in a short hole.
Accuracy and over-extension are often mutually exclusive. Pushing your muscles and hitting as hard as you can often leads to loss of control and thus, a wilder, less reliable swing.
At worst, a golfer that wanted some more power could end up injuring themselves as the swing can totally change their form. That actually happens more than you’d think, but when you add force to an unnatural stance, it quickly becomes inevitable.
Most players who’ve tried can tell you that it only took a few weeks of play to make convince them to go back to their original style.
New things aren’t always good things, especially if they end up taking away far more than they actually give you. Technique has always beaten sheer strength – in golf, it remains the rule remains relevant. Being able to aim the ball is a lot better than being able to hit it hard enough into a forest to lose the game.
The hole-in-one is nice, but it’s hardly consistent, if at all possible in many holes. The best golfers know how to adapt to the golf course at hand. They’re well trained enough to figure out what they need to do in order to win. It’s not a bad idea to emulate that philosophy.
Each swing is unique to each person and what could be the winning swing for Tiger Woods can easily cause Arnold Palmer’s game to collapse. Find your own swing. Find your own path. Once you’ve got your own style, you’ll find that you may win more and that you may even have more fun.
I hope you found this article helpful and found the information on power swings useful.
