Becoming good at something requires many different steps. A person must possess many great qualities. The rules of the game are detailed, varied, and take some time to learn. But it is fun to know how the game is scored and played. The best shot is a hole in one. The next to best shot is called an eagle, and a birdie is also quite good. Hitting par is average and okay to do. A bogey is not desired and one must practice to get to the point where they hit par normally.
In order to hit the ball well, a person must master consistency. They must learn how to use even force in a smooth motion as they first wind up the club and then send it flying forward to smack the ball in the exact direction and with the precise velocity that they think is proper to lend a chance to the ball to reach its target. This is very difficult. It takes a lot of practice to do it right.

If a person desires to hit lots of eagles and to get a nice low score, they will begin to read about the game.
