If you play golf on a regular basis, you already know how important it is to pack along rain gear. While we all hope it STAYS packed neatly in our golf bag throughout the game, we know that is not always going to be how it is. As golfers we accept the fact that there will be times when we're going to play whether it's raining or really cold. When those clouds roll in over the course, that packed rain gear becomes more valuable than gold.
Rain gear actually refers to a wide variety of pieces. The golf clothing that is manufactured these days is developed with the goal of keeping the golfer dry by covering essentially anything. You may find that a few of the pieces aren't required, but others should become a part of your primary golf equipment, and kept handy at all times.
1. Rain Suit-Generally, a rain suit will include a pair of pants and a top. Rain suits come in a variety of different materials, and there are numerous styles and designs to choose from. Rain suits lined with cloth material are one of the most widely used options. The suits will not only protect you from the rain, but will also act as a wind breaker and are useful in cooler weather, you can, however, expect to pay a little more for these rain suits.
2. Rain Jacket-The most often used rain equipment is the rain jacket, and you have the option of purchasing this piece separately. The rain jacket is similar to the rain suit in it's easy of use, and the fact that it can keep you dry in the rain, and protect you from the wind and the cold.
3. Rain gloves - Rain gloves are a regular purchase for most golfers. These gloves are specially designed to make sure you will keep a solid grip on your golf clubs in the rain.
4. Golf bag rain cover-Some golfers will use their umbrella to protect their clubs from the rain, but a bag you may opt for a bag cover can be purchased for a small amount, or may even be included with your clubs, and will be quite effective at keeping your clubs dry.
We could go on about all the other pieces available, but this article at least the four that are the most important to any regular golfer. If you are currently without any of the ones mentioned, put the more important ones on your shopping, or wish, list so you can purchase them as soon as possible.
