Golf Swing Tips: Play Better Golf With These Simple Swing Tips
Posted by Brayden Fisher under: Golf .
The topic we are going to focus on today is very important, although it is often overlooked. That topic is....how to properly rotate your hands through the ball at impact. Luckily, this golf swing tip is not hard to learn and you can have it implemented into your game by the end of the day. It will have you hitting the ball cleaner and straighter. So let's start learning....

Golf Swing Tips: Improve Your Game By Rotating Your Hands Through The Ball
The main focus of today's lesson is to make sure you are in the perfect position at the point of impact. The angle of the club head will determine the outcome of your shot whether that is hitting it straight, slicing it, hooking, etc. Now grab one of your irons and perform your regular swing. What we want to look for is the position of your hands and forearms at the point of impact.
Alright, get back into the impact position, acting like you are about to hit the golf ball. Now.... one thing we want to focus on is keeping our wrists straight and not letting them bend to the left or right at impact. Bending your wrists is known as a "wrist break" in the golf world, and it is not something that we want. A wrist break at impact will most likely cause a slice. However, what you do want is to "flip" your hands through the ball at impact. So, how do we learn how to do this? This little exercise should help you out with that....
Use Your Wrist Watch To Help You Rotate Your Hands
Now the fastest way for you to learn the correct technique is if you can see it in action. You can do this by using a wrist watch (don't worry it doesn't have to be a Rolex
) So get a watch and let's get started...
Are you ready? Do you have your watch on? Now, as your leading arm approaches impact, the watch face should be pointing at your target, more than likely this is going to be the flag. When you reach this position, simply ROTATE the watch face so it's pointed at the ground. You can see that this move makes your trailing wrist and forearm "flip" on top of your leading wrist and forearm. Grab a club and repeat this movement until it seems completely natural within your golf swing.
Properly rotating your wrists through the ball at impact will automatically "close" your club face which reduces that nasty slice and improves your total distance. This move will both reduce your slice, and add distance.
While you practice this golf swing tip, make sure that your forearms are working together. They should be as close to each other as possible through the point of impact. Mastering this simple golf swing tip will lead to longer, straighter golf shots, and a lower score overall
