From driving to putting, golfers around the world have tried their hand at getting a good score in fairways around the world. Through traveling the world, golfers see that different countries have different sights, traps, and themes that can change the way you enjoy the sport of golfing.

Traveling outside of the United States takes a lot of work- but you might not even have to! There are plenty of golf courses in the fifty states currently governed. Residents of Idaho can travel to California and have a very different game, and vice versa. Themed courses found in areas such as Florida can also put a new spin on golf that can be exciting to play through for your first time.

Travel to South America and go to Peru if you would like to experience on of the highest golf courses in the world. There lies the Tactu Golf Club located in Morochocha, which is just under 15,000 feet above sea level for the lowest point. Such high altitudes can even slightly affect the way you golf, depending on where you come from.

You can golf like the ancients did almost two centuries ago by traveling to India. India has the Calcutta-based course that has been around longer than anyone can physically remember. Other sites in India have lush greens to boast, despite the sandy and dry atmosphere that is generally the staple among Indian weather. At almost two centuries old, you can even tell your wife it's more of a history lesson than a golf trip!

Japan is famous for some of the most difficult courses ever created. Japan makes use of huge ravines and traps that will have even the professionals gritting their teeth in frustration. Japan golfing is much like an art, yet you will also see golf courses more reminiscent of Western courses as well for a taste of home. The fair weather in Japan makes it a great family vacation if you ever get the chance.

You can do some sight seeing in China and also get your game of golf in by going to a famous golf course located near The Great Wall. The golf course does deviate away from The Great Wall, but the beginning fairway gives you a clear cut view of one of the Earth's great wonders. There is no better way to enjoy a sunny China afternoon than killing two birds with one stone.

In Conclusion

Having fun and relaxing is what golfing is all about. It's not surprise, then, that golfing is also paired with traveling more often than not. Try to work some trips to a golf course into your next vacation- you won't regret the unforgettable experience it will provide.
