Pros and Cons of the Ping iWI Craz-E Putter
Posted by George Statos under: Golf .
The latest edition to the Ping line of putters is the Ping iWI Craz-E putter. Engineers have toiled over the design of these putters to provide a low to mid range handicap. Within the Ping iWi series of putters which includes 6 putter models is the Craz-E putter which is one of a kind. Each putter in the series is available for both left and right hand players. The Craz-E putter comes with two stock 12 gram stainless steel sole weights. The head weight is 370g and is also face balanced.
Pros:
1. Low and mid handicappers find that the customization options of the iWi Craz-E by Ping are beneficial for their game.
2. The putter offers a lot of confidence for players and the face is long with a large insert. You will have an easy time lining up your putts with this one.
3. The Craz-E is also one of the comfortable putters as it comes with an effective grip in a default blue color.
4. The putter itself is forgiving across the face and is quite accurate on the short putts.
Cons:
1. Although this putter comes with the option of interchangeable weight inserts with weight kits offering two 20-gram or two 28 gram tungsten weights, they are sold separately at a very steep price.
2. Lack of traditional appearance - The Ping iWi Craz-E putter lacks the traditional look of previous ping putters.
3. The putter also comes off the face a bit quickly, but this is something that can be controlled. The replaceable grip is also a bit think for some players.
The overall feel of the Ping Craz-E seems to be a bit harsh off the face and is more difficult to get consistent distance with the long range putts.
